Viña Cobos – Cobos Volturno, Marchiori Vineyard

Grapes are harvested manually. The vineyard follows traditional furrow irrigation and Cobos Volturno is made from Cabernet Sauvignon vines of 18 years and Malbec vines of more than 80 years.

During the growing season of grapes, spring conferred good thermal amplitude and blooming time did not give any damage because of great climate conditions.

Cobos Volturno wine is aged for seventeen months in new French oak barrels ( 100% Taransaud) and bottled in November of 2014, which led to a highly expressive tasting notes.

The combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec is absolutely astonishing for wine lovers because it offers intense ruby red color, great aromas of red fruits, liquorice, lead, gunpowder, pepper and chocolate and subtle hints of spearmint.

In the mouth wine drinkers can find the flavors of red fruits, liquorice and marmalade with an intense and broad mineral texture.
