Georges Duboeuf – Moulin-a-Vent Domaine du Pourpre
The wine estate is managed by a respectable family from the commune of Chenas. The Meziat family has been running the estate for five generations with dedication.
The present operations head, Bernard Meziat started to manage in 1978 and it is a must to say that he is a very experienced winegrower.
The crimson colored body is persuasive with intense and complex aromas including floral scents of roses and peonies as well as dark berry with hints of kirsch, sweet spices and pepper.
On the palate, this wine is loaded with richness, which makes it more full-bodied and fleshy. It has dark core tannins and a persistent finish.

Latest on Sicily, where Etna has a huge impact on the taste, which is strong with a bitter aftertaste for the youngest wines, but older wines are fantastic. Drinking wine, and writing about them, are one the passions. Remember to drink responsibly 🙂
