Planeta – Plumbago

Nero d’Avola is also known as the Calabrese and considered as the most essential and widely planted red wine grape variety in Sicily.

Plumbago is named after a beautiful purple wild flower that grows in the woods surrounding the vineyards of Ulmo.

After destalking and pressing, fermentation follows at a controlled temperature of 25⁰C with continuous mixing done in stainless steel vats.

This red wine is ruled over by the aromas of ripe plums and wild blackberries and complex hints of incense, jasmine and black truffle.

In the mouth, the tannins are combined with perfectly judged wood which makes the wine more pleasurable and tasteful.
