Planeta – Santa Cecilia

Saint Cecilia is made from the most important Sicilian grape variety, Nero d’Avola. The wine is one of the highlights of its producer, Planeta.

September 20th is the harvest time of grapes followed by destalking and maceration for 21 days; after fermentation in stainless steel, maturation is done for 14 months in barriques.

This purple-colored wine gives out carob, bergamot and orange peel aromas and offers a high tasting lineage of wild blackberry and cherry, which maintains its rigorous style and taste.

Santa Cecilia is a great pair with marinated pork with chili pepper or fish dishes with fibrous flesh.
