Planeta – Sito dell’Ulmo Merlot

The Merlot grape variety is extremely famous in Italy as well as the most widely planted in most wine regions across the world.

This Denominazione Origina di Controllata wine is made from the single grape variety Merlot from the “Single Vineyard”.

September 10th was the time of harvest followed by the accurate vinification process including destalking, fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28⁰C and maturation for 14 months in barriques.

Sito dell’Ulmo Merlot is a very intriguing red wine which combines the pleasure of tannins and extraordinary taste.

This version carries the densely ruby colored Merlot that gives out the sweet juice of black currant and candied violet alternating with thyme and lavender.
