Codorniu – Cuvee Barcelona 1872

Cuvee Barcelona is made from the local grape varieties – Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada. They were accurately harvested from the vineyards located in the Penedes region.

This wine selection was created to honor the origins and memorialize the year when Josep Raventós created the first version of the Cava wine.

Grapes went through proper management and careful winemaking process as well as maturation to obtain great characterization.

Cuvee Barcelona of 1872 carries a very pale straw yellow color with fine and elegant mousse, revealing the fruity aromas from apple and pear with notes of white flowers.

On the palate, the attack is creamy and fresh which expresses the grapefruit, honey and green fruit flavors with medium acidity and finish.
