The name Cartizze refers to a small but celebrated hilly zone characterized by a stony terrain with a balanced chemical composition and constant humidity. There, the Glera grapes ripen slowly and, at the end, develop a rich and complete as well as harmonious wealth of acids. Zone: The hamlet of Cartizze in the commune of Valdobbiadene in the Veneto’s province of Treviso. Colour: Straw yellow with a vivacious, persistent and subtle perlage. Bouquet: Elegant scents of wildflowers and a pleasantly fruity aroma as well as hints of apples, pears and peaches. Flavour: Sapid, full and balanced with a gracious finish. Serve it at 9° C. (48° F.) outside meals or with desserts. Recommended goblet: Chalice.
