Deep ruby and a highly aromatic nose with black fruit aromas (black cherry and black currant). Undertones of dark chocolate, white pepper and eucalyptus. Sleek and lively with acidity, this is restrained overall, spreading its flavours of plum, black olive and sweet leather over a fine-grained frame, lilting on the finish. Drink now through 2018. The soil profile of the Malakoff vineyard is remarkably similar to that of France’s northern Rhone Valley and the area’s climate is ideal for growing superior quality Shiraz. 100% Shiraz.
