Description
Strong aromas of gooseberry, gunflint, and blackcurrant lead to a rich and focused palate dominated by ripe yellow fruit with a mineral edge, all bound by a long and savoury finish. Jackson Estate embodies the very best of Marlborough, New Zealand, and is a testament to the vision and determination of the Stichbury and Jackson Families who have farmed the land on the Wairau River plain at Jacksons road for more than 160 years. Produced from the Grey Ghost vineyard which takes its name from the towering Grey Gum tree that was planted at the homestead over 140 years ago, this Sauvignon Blanc was partially fermented in French oak barrels, and aged on its lees, delivering exceptional flavour and texture.
