Incrocio Manzoni grapes

Incrocio Manzoni is a white wine producing grape variety grown in Italy. It is one of the many clones created by Prof. Luigi Manzoni.

He is the principal of Viticulture and Oenology department in the School of Conegliano. The wines made from the grape have a good level of alcohol as well as the acidic level is also fairly high.

This binds more people to it. It is being grown in almost all the parts in Italy. Due to poor quality of grapes, this initiative was taken to bring about something of high quality which could attract more people from market to try white wines from the region.

The Incrocio Manzoni grape makes full bodies white wines. The wines also have an intense aroma which is also one of the reasons for its increasing demand.

Origin of Incrocio Manzoni

Prof. Luigi Manzoni was conducting a series of experiments to find varieties of cross breeds which will enhance the culture of winemaking when the Incrocio Manzoni grape variety was formed.

The generation of this variety improved the quality of cross breeds. It was formed by crossing Pinot Bianco and Riesling Renano. The cross proved to be the best clones created by him and brought great fame and respect.

With the discovery of the variety the quality of wines increased. Now further experiments are being done to match the taste of the grape with some other varieties to make full use of the varied taste formed from two different varieties of grapes.

About 169 hectares of land were planted with Incrocio Manzoni grape in the year 2000. The taste of this grape must not be missed as not all the cross breeds have such high quality tastes.

Features of Incrocio Manzoni

Incrocio Manzoni grape grows in small sized bunches which are conical or sometimes cylindrical in shape. The berries of the vine are medium or small.

They have a round shape and are green-yellow in colour. The skin of the berries is fairly thick. The wines made from Incrocio Manzoni grape have an intense aroma.

They have a good alcoholic as well as acidic level. The grape is used to make full bodies wines. The wines made from Incrocio Manzoni are becoming famous all over the world as people are curious to taste the wine made from such huge success in the history of cross breeding.

Food Pairing with Incrocio Manzoni wine

The wines made from this grape variety grape have a high acidity making it easy to be paired with almost all food items. You can enjoy the flavour of the wine with roasted cheese with thyme-infused stuffing.

It can also be enjoyed with sheep’s milk cheese and potato chips. Salted dishes and sushi are among the dishes which can be enjoyed with Incrocio Manzoni grape wine.

Roasted vegetables with haloumi cheese are often taken with this wine. Spaghetti can be taken with this wine. It is also possible to consume the wine without in taking any other food item. The alcohol content is also not so high that you will need to neutralise it.
