Champagne Bollinger – La Côte aux Enfants 2013

La Côte aux Enfants, released in 2013, was made from pure Pinot Noir grape variety coming from Grand Cru vineyards in the Champagne region.

Pure Pinot Noir grapes are produced from exclusive vineyards of four hectares, which make it easier to create a great red wine from the Aÿ plot.

The wine was aged for exactly eight months in small oak barrels, which contributed to La Côte aux Enfants’ characteristic and tasting notes.

The beautiful garnet color gives more persuasion suggesting the aromas of elderberry, liquorice, redcurrant and cherry; which leads to a peppery note.

The palate is formed with good tannic structure with aromatic balance adapting aromas of blackberries, morello cherries as well as redcurrants.
