Chapel Hill – Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a widely planted white wine grape variety in the McLaren Vale region and recognized as the “winemaker’s wine”.

Grapes are harvested by hand. The malolactic fermentation gives the wine unique buttery aromas and the fermentation in French oak contributes vanilla and smoke notes.

After the whole winemaking process, the wine remains in stainless steel tanks for eight months prior to bottling.

Proper maturation process gave the wine more attractive tasting notes. The pale straw color covers up the body of the wine offering smooth and buttery aromas as well as tropical fruity flavors of banana, melon, pineapple and guava.

Chardonnay of Chapel Hill is considered average in terms of popularity among wines in the region.
