Da Vinci – Brunello di Montalcino
Brunello, the small version of Bruno, which means “brown” – the name given to what was believed to be the distinctive and local grape variety of Montalcino in the Tuscany region.
Today, the grapes are known as Sangiovese.
Da Vinci - Brunello di Montalcino
Brunello di Montalcino made from 100% Sangiovese, is an Italian grape variety created in the vineyards enclosing the town of Montalcino; and one of the great tasting wines of Tuscany.
Rich and full-bodied, carrying an aroma of blackcurrant, blackberry and cherries; Brunello di Montalcino offers the highest quality for wine lovers.
With a temperature between 30-32°C, the grapes are being fermented in steel tanks for 15-20 days and stored in oak barrels for at least two years.

Latest on Sicily, where Etna has a huge impact on the taste, which is strong with a bitter aftertaste for the youngest wines, but older wines are fantastic. Drinking wine, and writing about them, are one the passions. Remember to drink responsibly 🙂
